NORCO runs bingo sessions every weekend throughout the entire year at the BINGO PLANET hall at 900 North College Avenue in North Fort Collins. We run back-to-back sessions on Fridays year round. Workers should arrive at the hall by 5:30 p.m. The sessions are over at approximately 1:30 a.m. (Bingo is a great fundraiser that can help offset the costs associated with playing.) If you are interested in working bingo, e-mail me at the above address. I will add your name to the e-mail list. Around the 15th of each month I like you to e-mail me with dates that you would like to work for the following month. Workers can be parents or players as long as they are 14 years old. The schedule is then posted on the bingo website listed above. I try to schedule at least two sessions per player. You can also look at the schedule for the current month to see if there are days when we are short on workers and volunteer to work on those dates as well. All you have to do is e-mail or call.
Bingo is NORCO'S biggest fundraiser and helps to reduce all player's membership fees. Membership fees would be $300 to $500 more per player if we did not have the profits from bingo.
NORCO has two mandatory team nights per session for all teams and a third mandatory team night for teams qualifying for Nationals. The reasoning behind team nights is to simply 'spread the work' among all NORCO players. Bingo has historically been supported by 20-30 families out of almost 150 involved with the club. These 20-30 families help to reduce fees for every player by allowing NORCO to lower membership fees. Therefore, in order for other players and/or families to contribute to this reduction in fees, team nights were instituted.
Bingo is a great fundraiser and a great way to meet other volleyball players and parents. I hope to hear from you soon !
